Ahead of the forth-coming general elections, the youths and women of Etim Ekpo/Ika State Constituency have persuaded one of their illustrious sons,Hon Ubom Wisdom Sunday to come out and contest.
Some of the Youth Leaders who spoke with journalists at Urua Inyang, the Ika local government headquarters over the weekend, explained that their decision was based on the antecedent and excellent track-record of Hon Ubom Wisdom Sunday.
They noted that over the years,Hon Ubom Wisdom Sunday has impacted positively on the lives of many people,as well as contributing to the development of the area.
One of the Youth Leaders,Adede Saturday Inyang, hinted that after carefully assessing some prominent personalities in the Constituency,they have discovered that Hon Ubom Wisdom Sunday is the best choice for the Etim Ekpo/Ika State Constituency Seat.
“Hon Ubom Wisdom Sunday is a vibrant, dynamic and a God-fearing young man who has all it takes to give the people of Etim Ekpo/Ika State Constituency, effective, qualitative and purposeful representation if given the opportunity.
“We will not relent,we will continue to beg him to come out because he is our best choice “, the Youth Leader stated.
Other Youth Leaders who spoke, extolled the exemplary qualities of the APC Chieftain, expressing the hope that if given the opportunity,he will take Etim Ekpo/Ika State Constituency to the next level of development.
At Utu Etim Ekpo, the headquarters of Etim Ekpo local government area, some women who spoke with journalists,appealed to those concerned to give Hon Ubom Wisdom Sunday a chance to represent the people of Etim Ekpo/Ika State Constituency in Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly.
One of the women,Mrs Abigail Jonah, pointed out that Hon Ubom Sunday has the internet of the people of the area at heart, assuring that the women of the area will continue to pray for him.
