The Chief Security Officer to the Commissioner For a Youth Development in Akwa Ibom, Mr. John Billy AKA Jesus Boy has said that Augustine Bassey, who served as Media Aide to the Hon. commissioner for Youth Development, Dr. Ekerete Ekanem has been relieved of his appointment.
In a media chat, Billy advised the general public to take note and act accordingly as Augustine is no more the Commissioner’s Aide.
While applauding him for the service he rendered during his tenure as Media Aide, he advised Mr. Bassey to desist from impersonation or face the weight of the law.
He lauded the Hon Commissioner for interpreting the Governor’s dream in sanitizing youth leadership and strengthening security in the state.
He particularly commended the recent announcement of compulsory drug tests and security screening for intending youth Presidents, describing the development as a bold step in security direction and engendering decorum in the state.
According to him, the new policy will not only sanitize youth leadership, but strengthen and improve security situation in the state.
