…. Backs Second Gov’s Term Bid
The Progenitor of Isong Annang Ethnic Forum, Obong Dr Prince Mendy Archibong, has commended Governor Umo Eno for hosting the 2026 World Heritage Day celebration, describing the initiative as a strategic step that will further project Akwa Ibom State to the global community.
Dr. Prince Archibong who is an indegene of Obot Akara gave the commendation following the successful hosting of the international event in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State Capital, where Governor Eno declared that Akwa Ibom was fully prepared to take its place in the global tourism market.
The Progenitor of the foremost social – political group in the state working in the interest of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, Senate President, Godswill Akpabio and Pastor Umo Eno,
said the decision to host the globally recognised event demonstrated the governor’s vision for economic diversification, cultural promotion and the positioning of the state as a major tourism destination in Nigeria and beyond.
The Isong Annang Ethnic Forum leader, who doubles as a clergyman and based in PortHercourt also used the opportunity to applaud the administration of Governor Eno, describing his achievements since assuming office as outstanding and deserving of a second tenure to consolidate on the gains already recorded.
According to him, the governor’s leadership style and development agenda have shown that he genuinely has the interest of the people at heart, as reflected in the numerous people-oriented projects executed across the state.
The founder of Prince Archibong Life Foundation, described Governor Eno as a “God-sent leader” whose administration has continued to bring hope and tangible development to citizens.
Among the initiatives he highlighted were the ARISE Homes scheme, under which houses have been donated to indigent citizens, the Senior Citizens Centre, as well as several road and infrastructural development projects spread across various communities in the state.
“These are landmark projects that must be sustained. The only way to ensure continuity is to give the governor another opportunity through a second term, so he can complete and consolidate on these noble initiatives,” Archibong said.
He further urged residents and stakeholders in Akwa Ibom to reciprocate the governor’s good works by rallying support for him ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Archibong maintained that with the pace of development currently being witnessed, Governor Eno has demonstrated capacity, compassion and commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Akwa Ibom.
