The apex sociocultural organization of Ikot Abasi local government, Mboho Ikot Abasi felicitates the Federal Government and the people of Nigeria as the country marks it’s 66th independence anniversary.
In a congratulatory message signed by its President General, Mkpisong Chelly Okoko, the group calls for renewed patriotism, commitment, and focused vision towards realizing the Nigerian Project that has, ”disturbingly lingered a bit too long”
The group acknowledged that Nigeria is experiencing dire challenges, but expressed optimism that with altruistic and purpose driven leadership at all tiers of government, the country would come out of these challenges stronger.
”This is quite an auspicious moment to introspect by all who truly love this country” he noted.
The group calls on citizens to be strong in spirit and not despair; to rally around our country at this moment and to keep the faith of nationhood alive.
