OAIC Endorses Gov Eno For Second Term, Lauds ARISE Agenda

The Organisation of African Instituted Churches (OAIC), Akwa Ibom State Chapter, has endorsed Governor Umo Eno for a second term in 2027.

The endorsement was contained in a communiqué issued at the end of its Church Leaders’ meeting held on Thursday, 8th October, 2026, at Solid Rock Kingdom Church, Uyo.

The OAIC, a recognised bloc of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), said the decision followed a careful assessment of the administration’s performance since May 29, 2023, and the need to consolidate ongoing programmes under the ARISE Agenda.

According to the communiqué, the church leaders commended the Governor for promoting peace, unity and political inclusiveness, strengthening security, and for his compassionate and people-centred governance, including the construction of compassionate homes, food support to vulnerable households, payment of gratuities and pensions, and care for senior citizens.

The leaders also lauded the administration’s investments in road infrastructure, completion of inherited projects, youth development and skills acquisition, merit-based employment, education, healthcare, agriculture, tourism and aviation.

The communiqué was signed by the State Chairman and Secretary of OAIC, Akwa Ibom State Chapter.
