Hope has been raised in Nigeria that the citizens of the country will experience economic growth and stability, amid some challenges in 2026.
The Prelate for West Africa, Wesley Synod International Mission Canterbury for Africa, who doubles as Patriarch/Founder, Everlasting Christ Gospel Mission Int’l, domiciled in Mbiabong Ikot Udo Uso, Etoi, Uyo, Most Rev. Dr. Sir Friday Ibanga; KSMT made the declaration recently during 2025 End- of-year Spiritual Gathering, “Call To Come” and January 2026 Communion Service.
He counselled that call to come can register your voice in the realm of the spirit so that when you appear in 2026, entities will listen to you. Mark 4:35-41.
Most Rev. Dr. Ibanga said that the nation will soon enjoy economic improvement and development stressing that humanity will have sufficient foods to consume in 2026.
He revealed that citizens would experience a new wave of economic progress adding that they will have more opportunities and successes this year.
According to him, “in 2026, people will have enough food to eat, prices of goods will drop, prices of things will fall, things will be relatively easy; there will be economic progress in the country”.
Patriarch Ibanga stressed that 2026 would be a year of spiritual high frequency and spiritual alignment that would bring divine opportunities that will demand purity of heart.
He advised congregants to increase in prayer in 2026 noting that without prayer, angels assigned to individuals will be like monuments.
“In his words, “your angels are active as far as you are active in prayers; the in activeness of your angel comes because you are weak in prayers; your angels depend on your prayers; some of you can’t pray, how will the angel assigned to you become powerful.
“2026 will be a year to bring back your angel, if words from your mouth is too low, angel assigned to you will not move; speak good words and empower your angels; when you don’t feel like praying, stand up and pray; the most powerful prayer is when you don’t feel like praying, but you force yourself and pray”.
He reminded the believers that Apostle Paul was chained and imprisoned; but he refused to sleep, and activated his angel in prayers and something supernatural happened.
The Patriarch stressed further that worshippers who are prayerful should not be afraid; adding that their actions should be in alignment with the will of God.
He said that prayer and fasting were divine instructions designed to enable christians profit in their endeavors by living Holy lives.
“When your fasting frequency drops, you can be used by anything; fasting is higher and older than christianity; fasting establishes humility before God”.
He advised christians to fast and pray always in order to attract God’s blessings.
“Prayer is the meeting point between God and man: regular engagements in fasting facilitate answers to prayers; prayers and fasting are commandments from God and ordained for us to profit. Therefore, in this 2026 there is need to always fast and pray to God to receive divine strength needed to overcome obstacles throughout the year”.
The Spiritual Leader of Everlasting Universe maintained that fellowship with God in fasting and prayer and coming together for divine services were fundamental ways of showing practical gratitude to the Almighty.
He noted that the use of mobile phones during fellowship with God by some christians has been described as a serious distraction from the word of God; appealing to the congregants to stay away from phone in 2026 and remain attentive during sermons to benefit from the spiritual guidance provided.
The Founder admonished believers of God to keep practising thanksgiving in 2026 ensuring that words and deeds are seasoned with salt as the light of the nation.
He said that beyond giving thanks to God, since God loves everyone, christians must also show kindness and appreciation to one another irrespective of their backgrounds.
He encouraged worshippers to devote their times to serving God and humanity always in this 2026, urging them to trust in God and engage in spiritual exercises to enable them live righteously.
