Christmas: Ika Council Chair Lauds Gov. Eno for Inclusive Governance, Grassroots Impact

In the world celebrate Christmas, the Government and people of Ika Local Government Area have extended Christmas and New Year goodwill messages to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, PhD, applauding his purposeful leadership and visible development at the grassroots

In a Christmas message signed by the Council Boss, Barr. Utibe Nwoko, described the State Chief Executive as a gift to Akwa Ibom State, noting that since his assumption of office, Ika people have experienced the positive impact of compassionate, inclusive and people-centred governance.

Barr. Nwoko stated that the season, which marks the birth of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, provides a fitting moment to thank God for all their blessings including the Governor’s leadership, under which Ika Local Government has witnessed visible development.

He commended Governor Eno’s commitment to good governance, grassroots development and the implementation of the ARISE Agenda, stressing that these policy directions have translated into tangible benefits for the people of Ika and other parts of the state.

According to him, the strides recorded under the current administration are deeply appreciated and not taken for granted by the council and its people.

The council chairman further assured the Governor of the continued prayers and support of the people of Ika Local Government Area as he steers the affairs of the state, expressing confidence in his capacity to lead Akwa Ibom to greater and more enviable heights.

Barr. Nwoko also prayed for divine strength, sound health, wisdom and uncommon grace for the Governor as he celebrates Christmas and prepares to usher in the New Year 2026, reiterating the readiness of Ika people to stand solidly with his administration till 2031.
