The Member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Public Procurement, Rt. Hon. Unyime Idem Ph.D, has sponsored an ICT and Empowerment Training Programme for one hundred young persons from Ukanafun and Oruk Amam local government areas.
The three-day training, which is all-expense paid – covering for hotel accommodation for the three days, three-square meal for the three days and cash package to all the trainees, is part of fulfillment of Rep. Idem’s commitment to the empowerment of his constituents, and is aimed at equipping and empowering the young tech enthusiasts with practical ICT skills, digital literacy, and entrepreneurial knowledge to thrive in today’s technology-driven world.









The trainees will upon completion of the training, receive brand new laptops and financial support, to aid their journey into the ICT space.
Addressing the trainees at Eemjm Hotel and Suites, venue of the training, Rep. Idem, who was represented by the immediate past Executive chairman of Ukanafun Local Government Council, Hon. Pastor Godwin Inyieng, Ph.D, urged them to make the best use of the opportunity to acquire ICT skills that are needed to compete in the global sphere.

Earlier in his remarks, the Consultant handling the training, Mr. Michael Adewole, Managing Director of Cassell Consultancy Limited, expressed appreciation to Rt. Hon. Unyime Idem for his continuous commitment, vision, and unwavering support toward youth empowerment and human capital development in his constituency.

The training covers a range of areas, including Introduction to Website Creation & The Use of AI in Entrepreneurship, Use of Microsoft Excel for Data Analysis and Website Creation (Hands-On Session).
