Gov. Umo Eno Undaunted, Will Win Reelection Convincingly – Political And Social Re-orientation Boss

…Urges A’ Ibomites To Embrace APC, Broom As Symbol of Unity And Development

The Special Adviser, Bureau of Political and Social Re-orientation, Barr. Kufre Udosen has declared that Governor Umo Eno is undaunted and will win reelection in 2027 convincingly.

He noted that with the governor’s achievements in two years and his people-centric leadership philosophy, the people will reward him with their votes in 2027.

Barr. Udosen made the declaration on Saturday during a chat with our reporter in Uyo. He added that with the numerous projects, human capacity development, infrastructure renaissance and several life touching interventions, Akwa Ibom people and residents alike will queue behind Governor Umo Eno to ensure he retains his seat beyond 2027.

In his words: Governor Umo Eno is not just compassionate but is down-to-earth, visionary and he is wholly committed to the welfare of the people and the state. This is a man that has taken peace and unity to a whole new level. Today, Akwa Ibom is united in one accord on the political front. All the parties are solidly with him. They have found in him a beacon of hope and peace, hence their collective pledge to work with him. He does not just preach unity but has demonstrated that at all times. So, when you consider this and many more, you will agree with me that there is no well meaning Akwa Ibom person or resident that will not want to vote for the governor come 2027. My office has afforded me the opportunity to meet and interact with our people, especially at the grassroots. And each time I engage them, the excitement they exude points to the fact that they are anxiously waiting for the time they will have to repay the governor for all his good works in the
state.”

He urged Akwa Ibom people to join the progressive train piloted by Governor Umo Eno, saying that it is the one train that will bring massive development and hasten the actualization of the governor’s vision for the state. “There is no doubt today that Akwa Ibom is fully an APC state, led of course by our leader, Pastor Umo Eno. Today, he has led us to the centre, we are connected to the source. And so far, the dividends are already trickling in. I enjoin our people to identify with the progressive ideology of His Excellency the governor and embrace the broom as a symbol of peace, unity and a new Akwa Ibom.”

On infrastructure, the Honourable Special Adviser noted that there is no LGA that has not benefitted or have an ongoing road project courtesy of the Umo Eno led administration. According to him, the Governor Umo Eno-led administration has so far constructed and delivered over 772 kilometres of road across the length and breadth of the state, with a further promise recently by the governor to increase it to 1,000 kilometres as the dry season sets in.

“The ongoing Arise Park project is also a tourist’s delight. An erosion site being turned into a world class tourism centre by the governor is a testament to his vision of transforming the tourism sector of the state. This is one massive project that Akwa Ibom people will live to be proud of long after Governor Umo Eno leaves office in 2031. It is a huge investment that will not just put the state on the global tourism map, but boost the internal revenue base of the state. “We are talking about a westland that has been turned into a multi-million naira investment hub comprising a Golf Course, Swimming Pool, Golf Club House, Floating Bar, Pedestrian Bridge, Children’s Playground, Pavilion, Banquet Hall and lots more. This is a testament to governance built on vision,” he stated.

Barr. Udosen highlighted the Arise Compassionate Home as one of the key indicators that Governor Umo Eno is interested in the welfare of those in the lower rungs of the society’s ladder, the downtrodden and widows. “It is uncommon that a governor is building homes for those who never dreamt they’ll have a house to call their own. But today, it has become a reality that they own a well furnished two-bedroom apartment with steady power supply complete with solar-powered borehole and other modern facilities. Today, civil servants are no longer complaining, especially the retired ones among them who are smiling home regularly with their pensions and gratuities. Recall too that last year, the Umo Eno administration allocated 150 free two-bedroom housing units to civil servants on a transparent raffle draw to determine beneficiaries. That is how to touch lives. Our youths today are taking advantage of the entrepreneurial drive of the current administration through the Entrepreneurship Accelerator Programme (EAP) and the Dakkada Skills Acquisition Centre. Through the Ibom-Led, trainees are given a seed sum of N500,000 to help them start off their business. Already as of today, Youth Corps members of Akwa Ibom extraction serving within and outside the state, including non-indigenes serving in the state have started receiving N20,000 from the Akwa Ibom State Government.”

This is commendable, and clearly shows that Pastor Umo Eno is passionate about human capital development, and is doing everything within his power to achieve success in this regard,” he said.

The Honourable Special Adviser described Pastor Umo Eno as a Pathfinder and a man with the Midas touch who has brought human face to governance, doing the unthinkable with humility and leading the people with the fear of God. He added that the elderly in the state today are directly being touched through the monthly stipend given to them by the governor. “What is more. The health sector is receiving attention today with health centres running across the state, the expanded medical workforce and lots more. Strides in the agric sector like the Ibom Model Farm and Back-to-Farm Initiatives are promoting the food sufficiency drive of the Arise Agenda and many more.”

Udosen, a Maritime and Commercial Law Expert, called on Akwa Ibom people to shun divisive tendencies and align with the unity government promoted by Governor Umo Eno. “No governor in collectible memory has preached and practiced unity like Pastor Eno. Just recently, all former deputy governors received new vehicles from the Akwa Ibom State Government. That is another way to send a message that their services and labour of love for the state has not gone unnoticed. So, we have a governor whose compassionate net cuts across all strata of the society. All we owe him is our support and prayers,” he said.

Barr. Udosen assured Akwa Ibom people that they have a governor that is interested in making life better for them, urging the people to keep supporting the governor’s development initiatives.
