….Lauds Governor On Federal Presence In The State
The member Representing Mbo State Constituency in Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, High Chief (Sir) Effiong Johnson who is also the Chief Whip of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly has expressed excitement over the visit of the Minister of Federal Capital Territory , His Excellency Barr Ezenwo Nyeson Wike to Akwa Ibom State saying that the visit is a Signal for better days ahead for the state.
Hon. Chief (Sir) Effiong Johnson stated this in Uyo the state capital while fielding questions from journalists in the state. He said the minister’s visit has confirmed the true political alignment between the state and government at the center.
He noted that some political elements in the state were of negative opinions that Governor Umo Eno was deceived to decamp to the All Progressives Congress only to turn the state into APC without tangible reasons and interest of the state being protected.
Sir Johnson who remarked that the visit, while rekindling the hope of a greater future via federal government presence in Akwa Ibom state for the benefit of it’s people, has also doused the much argument on potential ridicule of Akwa Ibom position in the federal politics and projects.
According to the member representing Mbo State Constituency, said even before the defection of the governor to the All Progressives Congress, that President Ahmed Tinubu had already shown love to Akwa Ibom people through facilitating the emergence of senator God’swill Akpabio as the Senate President and appointment of a good number of Akwa Ibom people into political offices at the national.
The Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly Chief Whip who advised the Peoples Democratic Party numbers who still recalcitrant to take the positive decision by joining and revalidating their membership with the APC, thank the Federal Capital Territory minister for honoring Governor Umo Eno’s invitation, said the honor was indeed an honor to Akwa Ibom people.
He expressed optimism that with the visit of the Minister, His Excellency, Barr Ezenwo Wike that there will be stronger born, correlation and synergy between the state and the federal.
The state lawmaker also thank Governor Umo Eno for keeping to his wards by constructing all the roads he promised including the 15. 13km Otomo- Azumini Road and other internal roads in Ika Local Government.
