…as Apostle Nyeneime Andy highlights reasons for supporting leaders

A renowned socio-political group in Akwa Ibom State, One Million Voters Movement led by Apostle Nyeneime Andy has endorsed, President Bola Tinubu, Senator Godswill Akpabio and Governor Umo Eno ahead of 2027 general elections in Nigeria.
The leadership and members of the One Million Voters Movement took the decision today at the grand reception ceremony organized in honour of Apostle Nyeneime Andy, the National Leader of the One Million Voters Movement held on Thursday 14th May, 2026 at Villa Hilton Hotels, Uyo.
Apostle Nyeneime Andy was received by members of the One Million Voters Movement at the Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo, shortly after arrival from Abuja, where he is currently based.


Addressing leaders and supporters of the movement at Villa Hilton Hotels, Uyo, Apostle Nyeneime Andy stated that his decision to mobilise support for the three leaders became necessary in order to sustain the current tempo of responsible leadership in Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria.
He stressed the need for responsible citizens to support leaders who are working hard to bring development to Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria at large.
According to him, “The essence of this endorsement is to mark my 50th birthday, I am very wise, as a Pastor, I am involved in politics because politics affects people. Lions do not fight a lion. In Akwa Ibom State, we have chosen peace over conflict. Governor Eno has demonstrated that governance is not about noise. He deserves the people’s support. Today, we are endorsing peace. When peace is on the ballot, wise people do not stay neutral.”
He noted that the purpose of the One Million Voters Movement is mobiles responsible citizens, conscious voters and progressive minds towards leadership that guarantees peace, continuity, development and prosperity.
“The movement stands for strategic partnership, not emotional reaction. We believe that democracy is too important to be left just in few hands of people. We believe that leadership is too critical to be surrounded by anger. We believe that governance must be guided by wisdom not prowess. We believe that the power of the one million united voices can shape the destiny of Akwa Ibom State, that is why today we stand in the public to endorse Pastor Umo Eno, Senator Godswill Akpabio and President Bola Tinubu. We do this because peace must be defended. We do this because progress must not be interrupted,” Apostle Andy added.
In her remarks, Pastor (Mrs) Sylvia Ekong, the former Vice Chairman, Uyo Local Government Area, stressed the need for youths and women to take collective responsibility by participating in the electoral process. He lauded Governor Umo Eno for delivering on his campaign promises.
“If you stand afar you may not participate. One Million Voters Movement has come to do the needful. In Akwa Ibom State, things are working very well. The governor has delivered on his campaign promises. We can see tangible development like the model schools, the Victor Attah lInternational Airport. He has encouraged agriculture. I now have a farm. In this upcoming primary, locate your ward and vote for President Bola Tinubu, Senator Godswill Akpabio and Governor Umo Eno,” Pastor (Mrs) Sylvia Ekong said.
In his vote of thanks Apostle Usungurua Charles, the coordinator of One Million Voters in Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, thanked Governor Eno for instilling peace in all the local government areas in Akwa Ibom State and Senator Godswill Akpabio for giving Akwa Ibom State, a strong voice at the national level.
Others who spoke at the event were Comrade Emmanuel Inyang Edet who represented Uyo Senatorial District, Pastor Margaret Smith from Eket Senatorial District, Mrs Helen Bassey Umo from Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District and Mrs Blessing Daniel of Eket Senatorial District.
The event which climaxed with the unanimous endorsement of President Bola Tinubu, Senator Godswill Akpabio and Governor Eno Umo by the leaders and members of the movement also featured the official presentation of the ARISE badge by Pastor (Mrs) Sylvia Ekong to the National Leader of the One Million Voters Movement Apostle Nyeneime Andy.
