…debunks misleading reports, warn against misinformation
The Chairman of Ibeno Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs. Glory Effiong, has commended Governor Umo Eno for the peaceful and orderly conduct of the APC House of Representatives primaries in the area.
Effiong gave the commendation on Saturday, May 16, 2026, after touring several wards in Ibeno Local Government Area to monitor the exercise.
She described the process as peaceful, orderly, and transparent across the wards visited, noting that the exercise reflected the collective will of party members.
According to her, the cooperation displayed by party faithful, stakeholders, and youths contributed significantly to the smooth conduct of the primaries.
The council chairman also commended electoral officials, security agencies, and party supporters for maintaining peace and decorum throughout the exercise.
Mrs. Effiong dismissed reports circulating on some social media platforms alleging irregularities during the primaries, describing the claims as false and misleading.
She maintained that the exercise was conducted in line with party guidelines and under the supervision of relevant party officials and security agencies.
The Council Boss further praised Governor Eno for providing an enabling environment for internal party democracy to thrive without intimidation or disruption.
As part of the exercise, Effiong returned to Ward 5 to participate in the voting process alongside other party members.
She urged party faithfuls to continue in their steadfast support for President Tinubu, Governor Umo Eno, Senator Ekong Sampson, and Hon. Friday Udobia, expressing optimism that such support would translate into electoral victories and accelerated development across the state.
