AKHA 2027: ENGR. JAMES ENOH AKPAN CONSULTS APC PARTY STRUCTURE, IKOT NDUA IMAN VILLAGE

As political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly elections, the 2023 All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for ONNA State Constituency, Engr. James Enoh Akpan MNSE, has intensified consultations with the party’s structure in ONNA Local Government Area.

Engr. Akpan, a leading aspirant for the forthcoming elections, embarked on a consultation visit to the APC Chapter Secretariat in the party office at Ndon Eyo, where he consulted the party leaders, stakeholders and members in extensive discussions. The meeting, described as timely and purposeful, provided an avenue for him to reaffirm his commitment to the unity, growth, and consolidation of the APC in the area, while also seeking continued support for his 2027 ambition.

Addressing the party faithful, Engr. Akpan expressed gratitude to the leadership and members of the APC for the confidence reposed in him during the 2023 general elections, when he emerged as the party’s flag bearer for the State Assembly seat. He noted that the opportunity remains a significant milestone in his political journey and a motivation to pursue greater service to the people.

He emphasized that his renewed ambition is driven by a clear and people-oriented vision aimed at delivering meaningful representation and tangible development to ONNA constituents. According to him, his agenda aligns with the ARISE Agenda of Governor Umo Eno and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, ensuring synergy between state and federal development frameworks.

Engr. Akpan further outlined his legislative priorities to include effective lawmaking, grassroots development and improved welfare for constituents, stressing the need for responsive and impactful representation capable of addressing the needs of the people.

In his remarks, the APC Chapter Chairman in ONNA, Comrade Tom Nkanang, commended Engr. Akpan for his loyalty, consistency, and dedication to party affairs. He expressed confidence in his leadership capacity and assured him of the continued support of the party as preparations for the 2027 elections intensify.

The consultation train also extended to the Royal Akpan Eno Family in Ikot Ndua Iman village and Nung Ndem Ward 2, where Engr. Akpan met with kinsmen and ward leaders. He appreciated them for their sustained support over the years and urged them to maintain the same level of commitment in the coming elections.

Responding, the family leader, Chief Akpan Eno, alongside the APC Ward Chairman, Christian Henshaw, praised Engr. Akpan’s determination and vision for ONNA, pledging their full support for his aspiration. The meeting also witnessed the reception of defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who were encouraged to remain loyal and committed to the party.
