The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Door-to-Door Movement for Michael BUSH has commenced mobilisation across communities, with its team lead, Ekemini Smart, saying the 2027 general elections will mark a return of power to the people. Smart made the statement during an interview on Channel 27, April 10, 2026.
Where he outlined the objectives of the grassroots mobilisation drive aimed at strengthening support for the PDP and governorship hopeful, Michael BUSH ahead of elections.
In his remarks, “the movement is designed to deepen direct engagement with voters at the community level, he said. And stressed that political power must be reclaimed through sustained civic participation and voter education.
According to him, “power returns to the people in 2027,” He also added that the campaign structure would rely heavily on door-to-door outreach to consolidate support for Michael BUSH across polling units.
However, Smart is an experienced political mobilizer and ally of the PDP, he also played a notable role in the 2023 governorship campaign of Rt. Hon. Barrister Onofiok Luke. The Team Lead of the organization said the current movement builds on lessons from previous elections and is focused on expanding grassroots coordination ahead of next polls.
Meanwhile, the PDP Door-to-Door Movement for Michael BUSH is expected to roll out further community engagements in the coming months as political activities intensify ahead of 2027.
Also speaking on the interview, an Abuja – based broadcaster, Mr. Unyime Anietie called on Akwa Ibomites and Nigerians at large to resist all forms of inducement from politicians. Explaining that vote selling and exciting political aparty will only deepen the leadership crisis the country suffers if Nigerians do not rise against at elections.
