Oruk Anam stakeholders have reaffirmed their collective support for Governor Umo Enoโs second-term bid, as well as for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
They made this known during the All Progressives Congress Home-Going Weekend held on saturday, November 22, 2025 at the Oruk Anam Council Secretariat, Ikot Ibritam, where party leaders and supporters converged.
In his opening remarks, the Chairman of Oruk Anam Local Government, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Sunday Festus, explained that the Governor had set the day aside for party members to gather across the state and demonstrate solidarity describing the turnout as a powerful indication of party strength.
“Today, Oruk Anam has shown that there is no other party here. If all our major stakeholders are seated under one roof, it means we are united, it means we are ready, and it means victory is assured.”
He added that Oruk Anam would stand strong with the President, the Senate President, and deliver Governor Umo Eno for a full eight-year tenure.
“We are gathered here to take decisions that will shape our political direction, and we will take these decisions together as one united family,” he stated.
He further appreciated the women for turning out in great numbers and Stakeholders for adhering to the Governorโs directive for statewide stakeholder engagement.
Also speaking, the Chapter Chairman of APC, Christopher Nelson, lauded the Chairman for his leadership and recalled that despite internal division, Oruk Anam delivered 16,000 votes in the 2023 elections stating that with unity fully restored, he projected that the area would deliver over 50,000 votes for the Governor and demonstrate the same strength for the Senate Presidentโs candidate.
He called on councillors and supervisors to assist with grassroots mobilization and voter’s card sensitization.
Mr Christopher emphasized that the APC in Oruk Anam is no longer factional and is fully prepared for decisive victory.
He further thanked God for journey mercies and urged members to intensify registration of more members.
In his goodwill mesaage, the Former Minister of Petroleum, Atuekong Don Etiebet, declared that Oruk Anam stakeholders are solidly behind Governor Umo Enoโs second-term ambition.





He appealed for continuous unity among political leaders and applauded the Chairman for the developmental projects executed across the LGA.
Etiebet also described the Chairman as a leader who has demonstrated inclusiveness, and visible progress.
In their goodwill messages, top party figures including Member representing Oruk Anam State Constituency, Hon. Sampson Idiong, Commissioner for Health Dr. Emmanuel Ekem, Special Adviser to the Governor on Labour Relations, Rt. Hon. Sir Udo Kieran, Engr. Aniekan Solomon, SSA to the Senate President on Political Matters and APC Deputy Chairman David Umo Essien affirmed their support for the Governor.
They also commended the Chairman for his developmental strides, citing improved governance, infrastructure interventions, and strengthened grassroots engagements as clear indicators of purposeful leadership.
Speaking on behalf of the youths, the Immediate past EARCOM Commissioner, Hon Etiutom Ediene appealed for more frequent stakeholder meetings, stating that the Governor has set the pace for unity.
He stressed the need to maintain peace, cohesion, and togetherness in Oruk Anam.
