The Executive Chairman of Nsit Atai Local Government Area, Hon. Prince Anthony Nyong, has congratulated the Member representing Uyo/Uruan/Ibesikpo Asutan/Nsit Atai Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Elder Mark Esset, on the resounding success of his Mid-Term Constituency Briefing and Mega Empowerment Programme held on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Ibom Hall Grounds, Uyo.
Speaking on behalf of the government and people of Nsit Atai, the Chairman described the event as massive, well-organized, and remarkably impactful, noting that it reflects Rep. Essetβs firm commitment to the growth and welfare of his constituents. He commended the lawmaker for his purposeful and effective representation, emphasizing that the empowerment programme has continued to build capacity, stimulate economic activity, and uplift citizens across the federal constituency.
The event featured an unprecedented distribution of empowerment items and financial grants, demonstrating Rep. Essetβs dedication to enhancing livelihoods. Beneficiaries received five brand-new cars, twenty mini buses, forty-four cargo tricycles (Katafrak), twenty-two passenger tricycles (Keke), fifty-one motorcycles, forty sewing machines, and forty-two deep freezers. Financial empowerment included β¦10 million to one beneficiary; β¦2 million each to two beneficiaries; β¦1 million each to seventy-two persons; β¦500,000 to fourteen beneficiaries; β¦250,000 to three; β¦200,000 each to one hundred and two beneficiaries; and β¦100,000 each to one hundred and eighty-two beneficiaries. Hon. Nyong described the gesture as a clear example of people-focused leadership and genuine inclusive governance.

He further applauded Rep. Essetβs performance in the National Assembly, where he has sponsored two bills, moved over six motions, and distinguished himself as Chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Relations Committee while serving on more than twelve strategic committees. These achievements, he noted, have earned the lawmaker tremendous respect within and beyond the constituency.
The Chairman urged all beneficiaries to use the items and financial support responsibly, stating that such investments should translate into stronger families, sustainable ventures, and improved community growth. He reaffirmed Nsit Ataiβs unfaltering support for Rep. Esset and restated the councilβs commitment to Governor Umo Enoβs ARISE Agenda, which continues to deliver development and progress across the state.
